During the charging and discharging process of lead-acid batteries, water is usually decomposed to produce a large amount of hydrogen and nitrogen gas. If the gas does not escape in time, the spark will cause the battery to explode. There are the following measures to prevent the explosion of lead-acid batteries:
(1)The vent holes on the cap of the nozzle should always be kept open so that hydrogen and nitrogen gas can escape.
(2)The internal connection of the battery and plate wiring should be firm, so as not to loose and produce sparks.
(3)No ignition on the battery.
(4)When checking the battery with a high-rate discharge fork, open the cap of the nozzle first.
